Our Core Values
WHAT WE BELIEVE
There is one true God. He has revealed himself as the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. God is One, yet He is three distinct persons. This is the mystery of the Trinity: God is three in One. (Deuteronomy 6:4)
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the final authority for all matters of faith and doctrine. [2 Timothy 3:16]
The ‘new birth’ is offered to each person through faith in Jesus Christ. [John 3:3]
The gift of the Holy Spirit is offered to all believers as spiritual power for service. [Acts 1:8]
The provision for physical healing is available through prayer. [James 5:14]
The return of Christ is our blessed hope. [1 Thessalonians 4:16]
The judgment of all men by God will determine a person’s eternal destination. [Rom. 14:10]
In February 1992, Pastors Kevin & Robin Crow moved to North Ridgeville to start the church that is now Harvest Ridge. The first meeting was held in their one bedroom apartment with 12 people present. That core group of 12 people launched services in the Liberty Elementary School gym on May 2. We met for 4 years at Liberty before we moved to a temporary location in a warehouse at the corner of Jaycox and Center Ridge.
Then on November 16, 1997, we moved to our present location at 35600 Lorain Road. Since moving to our present location, continued growth has caused us to add to the building three times. Now, to keep up with continued growth, HRC will soon begin its next building project. This massive project will double the existing ministry space and parking, including a new sanctuary, lobby and repurposing existing structures. From the first days, Harvest Ridge has had a focus on families with young children. We have always had a fully staffed nursery and children’s ministry.
Our vision is to create an environment where young families can develop a relationship with Jesus, receive hope and encouragement to have healthy marriages, raise Godly children, and join together to make a difference in the world. We thank God for the marriages and lives that have been restored. At Harvest Ridge, we also believe in making a positive impact on our community. One defining moment in the history of HRC occurred in 1999 when the we had our first successful outreach. That event was a turning point when the church began focusing on our calling to make an impact in the area for the cause of Christ.
Since then, several events and ministries were developed that help fulfill the core vision of the church and positively impact the community. The largest of these is HarvestPalooza, which happens every year on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Harvest Ridge has a great history, but that is nothing compared to the future! You are invited to join HRC as we make an impact on our community, country and world.
